How Punjabiforce handles your information, and the terms under which we run the community.
Last updated 2 October 2026
Punjabiforce is a nonprofit, volunteer-led community that connects professionals of Punjabi heritage and friends of Punjabi culture within the Salesforce and technology ecosystem.
Who we are
Punjabiforce is run by its co-founders, Kam S. Matharu and Harpreet Dulai, who are jointly responsible for the personal information described here. For anything in this policy, including a request to see or delete your data, contact us through the contact page or on LinkedIn.
What we collect
Most of the site collects nothing at all. You can read about the community, browse events and view the team without giving us anything.
If you fill in the join form we collect your name, email address, LinkedIn profile, employer, job title, city and country, how you'd like to take part, and anything you choose to write in the free-text box. LinkedIn is required because it is how we verify that members are real people and how we introduce mentors and mentees to each other.
If you become a mentoring member we also hold the pairings you are part of and the feedback you give at the end of a mentorship.
If you book a place at one of our events we collect your name, email address, LinkedIn profile, job title and company, and keep a record of the events you book, cancel and attend. We use this to manage places on the day, send you booking emails, and understand how our events are growing.
Why we collect it, and on what basis
We use this information to run community and mentoring activities: to contact you, to pair mentors with mentees, and to organise events. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the join form or the event booking form. You can withdraw it at any time by asking us to delete your record.
We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to sponsors, recruiters or anyone else.
Where it is stored
Member information is held in a database hosted by Supabase in the United Kingdom (London region). Access is limited to the two co-founders. The database enforces who can see what, so members can only see their own record and the person they are paired with.
How long we keep it
We keep member records while you are active in the community, and for up to three years after your last activity, after which we delete them. Mentorship feedback is kept in anonymised form so we can improve the programme.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. We will respond within one month. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Mentoring feedback
Feedback a mentee gives about a mentorship is visible only to the co-founders, never to the mentor. This is deliberate, so that feedback can be honest. We may use anonymised themes from feedback to improve the programme.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect community or platform changes. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last changed at the top.
